Chrissy has served the ag industry in sales & marketing throughout her career, her experience & love of the industry has lead her to create the North American Ag platform and become the host of two podcasts - The North American Ag Spotlight & What Color is Your Tractor.

Amanda Robertson

Amanda Robertson serves as a National Outreach Specialist for the USDA Farm Service Agency. In this role, she coordinates beginning farmer and rancher efforts across the Department, supports program outreach, and provides guidance to State Beginning Farmer and Rancher Coordinators and Champions nationwide.
A 6th generation farmer from Russell Springs, KY, Amanda and her family operate a registered Angus and Hereford cattle operation. She earned her B.S. in Agricultural Education and M.A.E. in Gifted Education from Western Kentucky University.
Amanda began her career with FSA in 2005 as a summer intern, later joining the agency full time in 2008. She became a Farm Loan Officer Trainee in 2012 and served as a Farm Loan Officer until January 2016, when she stepped into the role of Beginning Farmer and Rancher Regional Coordinator. In 2019, Amanda joined the FSA National Outreach Office, where she continues her commitment to supporting farmers and ranchers across the country.

Susan Backus

Susan Backus is the vice president for regulatory and scientific affairs at the Meat Institute. In this capacity, she is responsible for nutrition and health activities, which include staffing the Human Health and Nutrition Committee. 

Backus previously served as President of the Meat Foundation and led the organization through its merger with the NAMI Scholarship Foundation. She joined the American Meat Institute in June 1997 and began working in the Foundation in 1999.

She also serves as the executive secretary of the Shelf-Stable Food Processors Association, which is managed by the Meat Institute.

Backus received a Bachelor of Arts in history from West Virginia University.
